Welcome

Welcome to the homepage of United Northwest Model Railroad Club. We are a Seattle, WA-based not-for-profit, 100% volunteer group that seeks to better our community and promote the hobby of model railroading. We actively participate in shows throughout the year, as well as organizing a show every year where all of the ticket sale proceeds are donated to charity.

We have 2 operating N Scale (1:160) Divisions:  Legacy and NTRAK.  Legacy is a stand-alone layout that currently measures 13 x 36 feet with 2 operating mainlines plus yard, roundhouse, and switching areas.  NTRAK follows the NTRAK Modular Railroading Society's standards, with 3 Mainlines plus 4th "Mountain" Line. 

UNW members are able to and are encouraged to participate in either Division, providing for the best of all N Scale worlds.

    Clinic Schedule

    February 27 (1pm-3pm): Basic Styrofoam terrain techniques, track laying, and ballasting.

    March 13 (1pm-3pm): Wiring and power systems

    March 27 (1pm-4pm): Basic scenery techniques

    April 10 (1pm-3pm): Adding details and points of interest. Backboard basics.

    Presented by the United NorthWest Model RR Club N-Trak Division Clinicians: Susan Evans (UNW N-Trak VP) & others from the club Standing room only (unless you bring your own folding chair (please)) No reservations needed, but Seattle’s Train Center would enjoy your call to tell them you are coming.
