Cut my teeth on my
grandfathers HO layout in the early 50's.
Was reintroduced to model railroading in '93, Joined the UNW in '94 just
before the Portland NMRA/nscale convention.
My main Interest in MR is building. Anything anywhere anytime.
Detailing, weathering, and repairing locomotives and rolling stock.
The computer is the last place I will spend any time so most of my
inspiration comes from magazines, books, video tapes, friends, and the
world around me.
Other interests? In the past I have golfed, fly fished, worked as a
volunteer at the Museum of Flight on the B-29, and still do wood work.
By trade I am a printing pressman, operating a 29" two color press.

I'm in charge of the layout transportation, and trailer maintainance. I
got
started in the hobby in 1945 with two Lionel trainsets[which I still
have]
given to me by my father on Christmas.
I joined the UNW about 1994
and have been active ever since.
My focus is the 1920 to
1960's mostly Great Northern and Santa Fe roads. My interests are
working and running on layouts and learning, learning, learning. Other
interests are RV'ing and Country Western Dancing.
For the next 2 years or so I
will be driving truck as I have been for some 28 years with the current
employer, along with 3 years over the road interstate. My future is
playing with the 5 grand children, playing with the UNW, and retirement.
